continue following me john 21:19. much of the program was similar to the previous two days.

the fact that jesus has appeared in almost every talk title suggests that the society is once again morphing its tactics to persuade more persons that they arent an old testament cult but an alternative christian denomination.. i repeat my previous assertion that there is a manipulative intelligence at work here.

no ordinary person could possible have such foresight and such knowledge of human behavior to think and write the things these watchtower writers do.

I HATED the DCs. We were always struggling, financially and health wise, and would, each year, go in the hole and it would taked months to recover. Way over crowded bathrooms, trying to cheer up our kids, dealing with the chronic, life threatning situation of our oldest daughter, trying to "get by" by going the cheap on meals...trying to cook in hotel rooms, worrying about gas money, on and on and on.....

One year, we went to Tulsa and maxed a credit card. We ate out, stayed in a nice hotel, maxed the whole deal. Had a great time. OK....so THIS is why the bros with money do not mind the conventions....see it now.....

Then, a couple of years paying back the card.

So much for that fun time.

Appreciate your sacrifice of time and effort.

Glad I was not there.

Dead Elders: an amends

the other day i posted, on a thread, that the only good elder was a dead one.

i regret that comment and ask amends to those that were offended....if any..... by "death" i was thinking "inactive in that roll.

" like: are there any "good" meth dealers, or "good pediphiles.

A person could become "dead" by stopping bad action and taking a different course in whatever evil they are involved in.

So, the best answer I guess, on that thread, was "an ex Elder."

Anyone else get their bikes blessed?

i went to a bike blessing today.

it started with a breakfast and then a ride to the church for the event.

the church had a band playing and they were pretty good.

Keep Exposing Molestation Coverup

i talked to my pioneer daughter (20) about the molestation settlements last week.

she didn't know of course, but said,"dad it's just a way of jehovah cleaning up the organization and refining it.

jehovah will make sure those people are dealt with that did these things.

Why do people hide on this site?

something i've noticed when reading the various threads on this site, is that so many people seem to be afraid.

their scared of being disfellowshipped, scared of being shunned, scared of not being accepted by the congregation, scared that people may find out they don't believe anymore, scared if anyone was to find out they use this site.

there is advice for people on how to avoid being disfellowshipped, if they may have "said too much" about their thoughts, or how to fade without being noticed.. i don't understand this.

It is "Journey." Progressive. And, other people are involved. I think the ability to "lay low" and express your self: vent, etc. in a place like this is great. Others have mentioned that.

I went through the "hidden, lay low stage.' It lasted from the time I finished my last conversation with the Elders in MONETT, MO and walked back up my driveway to the door of my house. From that point forward I was ready to, openly, "mix it up" with the Society.

The best WT elders are

i know some elders want to be real shepherds in the biblical sense and are constantly challenged by wt directions that are cold unloving & self serving and many leave because of this.

such an elder who has his own conscience and is troubled by it does not make the best wt elder.

im looking to name the characteristics that make the best wt elders.

My first, actually my only, thought was the same as "Pope's" as these Elders are no longer in a position to continue encouraging people to cut their own throats spiritually or emotinally. There are NO "good" Elders. There are only pathetic, sick, blind, delursional leaders of other blind people poised on the edge of a chasm walking forward with complete confidence there is only firm ground ahead.

You Were My First Love And Youll Be My Last Love ...

you were my first love and youll be my last love ...living in florida has given me the opportunity to see couples who have been.

together for decades sometimes dating back to the second world war.. .

it has always amazed me how some couples can stay together for 20, 30, 40 .

Mrs. Williams and I have 32 years together.

Our "glue" was our individual commitment to our vows: JW wedding at that!

I count my wife's endurance as 99 percent of our being together.

Since being baptized a Christian and submitting to a Lord of Love and Mercy I know this: I will only be shown by Him what I show to my wife. I think about that each day. I am convinced my judgement, because of my egotism, hard headedness, and arrogance, will hinge on this relationship and how, with His help, I overcome these horrid traits. Also, I, now, see my wife as the super star she is and has been since my "reality vision" has emproved.

Went to visit the EX

i have been dfd and divorced from the ex for six years now.

i have remarried and been living in a idyllic cabin by a year round creek all this time but i might have to move.

so i have been going through all my stuff and discarding what i can to lighten my moving load and reviewing every item, every picture, every little piece of paper.

You know, I have been battling this thought for four years: did they steal it or did I give it?

I think it was a blend of purposful fraud and immature gullibility.

I am doing better with my anger issues: it is no longer a COMMON daydream to line the GB up and randomly pick three and castrate them. Then say: "I am only doing this as a analogy to show what you do to people's lives."

Now, that, I would say, is emotional progress.
